MediLytic HbA1c without Calibrator 20/40 ml

The “MediLytic HbA1c without Calibrator 20/40 ml” is a reagent kit used for measuring HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) in whole blood. 

“20/40 ml” refers to the pack size options — typically 20 ml or 40 ml reagent volume.

“Without Calibrator” means that this kit does not include calibrators — i.e. known-reference samples with established HbA1c concentrations used to generate a calibration curve.

The assay is based on a turbidimetric (latex-enhanced immuno turbidimetric) method: antibodies bind specifically to HbA1c in the hemolyzed blood, latex particles agglutinate, and the turbidity is measured photometrically. 

The result gives % HbA1c (e.g. according to NGSP /DCCT), which reflects average blood glucose over past 6–8 weeks.
