🧬 Test Principle

✔ ALT catalyzes the transfer of amino group from L-alanine to α-ketoglutarate
✔ Pyruvate formed reacts in presence of LDH
✔ NADH is oxidized to NAD⁺
✔ Decrease in absorbance at 340 nm is measured
✔ Rate of absorbance change is directly proportional to ALT activity
