🧬 Test Principle

✔ Triglycerides are hydrolyzed by lipase to glycerol
✔ Glycerol is converted to glycerol-3-phosphate
✔ In presence of GPO (Glycerol Phosphate Oxidase), hydrogen peroxide is formed
✔ Hydrogen peroxide reacts with chromogen in presence of POD (Peroxidase)
✔ A colored complex is formed
✔ Intensity of color is directly proportional to triglyceride concentration
