MediLytic Urea (Berthelot) 200 ml

Medilytic “Urea (Berthelot)” is  a bio chemistry reagent kit used for in-vitro quantification of urea in biological samples (serum/plasma or urine) using the Berthelot method. 

The principle: the enzyme Urease hydrolyzes urea to produce ammonia (NH₃) and carbon dioxide (CO₂). The liberated ammonia then reacts with an alkaline phenol-hypochlorite reagent (Berthelot reagent), producing a coloured compound whose intensity is measured spectrophotometrically — this correlates with urea concentration. 

This kit is typically used in clinical-chemistry labs to assess kidney function, dehydration, liver disease, or other metabolic disorders by measuring blood urea levels.
